Users' rights and duties

User rights:

1. Have a comprehensive care service.

2. Receive personalized, dignified, respectful treatment without any discrimination.

3. Receive information indicating where and how you can file a complaint or claim about the health care provided.

4. Receive clear and timely information about your health status, the services you are going to receive and the risks of treatment.

5. Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of your clinical information.

6. Accept or reject any treatment and have your opinion taken into account and respected.

7. Being included in scientific research studies, only if you authorize it.

Duties of users:

1. Treat all staff with courteous and friendly treatment.

2. Comply responsibly with the recommendations of the health professionals who care for you.

3. Use protection methods to avoid spreading infections (Article 41 of Decree 1243 of 1997).

4. Provide voluntarily, timely and sufficient information required for medical care.

5. Take care of your health and that of your family.

6. Make good use of resources and take care of the institution's facilities.
