The Biomedical Research Ethics Committee is institutional, independent, and is made up of an interdisciplinary group of scientific and non-scientific members whose responsibility is to guarantee the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of human beings involved in research.
With a deliberative and autonomous decision-making nature, it develops the evaluation and monitoring of scientific, epidemiological and clinical research protocols applying principles of transparency, beneficence, non-maleficence, distributive justice and justice with reciprocity.
Since its constitution in 2011, clinical trials on vaccines have been carried out. Additionally, international cooperation, observations and qualitative projects of high scientific and social impact have been carried out.
